Expertise, Heart & Vision
Growing up in Hudson, Quebec, with a rich Filipino-Chinese cultural background, I was drawn to creativity from a young age. My first experiences on photo sets, modeling, assisting, opened my eyes to the magic of visual storytelling.
By 17, I was already styling and doing makeup for paid gigs, learning on the fly how hair, lighting, and makeup all converge to tell a powerful story.
I studied photography and fine arts at CEGEP and later pursued Communications (TV production specialization) at Concordia University. This combination gave me an editor’s sensibility: I understand light, narrative, pacing, and how a look reads on camera, for stills, video, or live event.
Whether it’s a bridal morning, a corporate shoot, or a magazine story, I bring the calm logistics of a production pro and the creative instinct of an editor. I”m fast (often completing services within an hour), organized, and focused on making clients feel empowered and camera-ready.
My teaching background means I maintain clean, professional hygiene standards and always follow industry-safe protocols.
I don’t just apply makeup, I coach you through your look, offer tips, and adapt based on lighting, skin type, and purpose (wedding, editorial, etc.).
With production experience, I know how to manage time, sets, and people, so your makeup session won’t be a stress.
I believe in making you feel like yourself, not someone else. The goal is to enhance what you already have, in a way that’s true to you.
After working in local salons, including Orbite in the ’90s, I moved into education full-time, becoming the Director of Education for a U.S.-based cosmetics company. For eight years, I traveled the world teaching makeup techniques, safety protocols, and product mastery to artists. I also worked directly with brands, refining formulations and developing training curriculums, so you benefit from someone who’s deeply invested in product integrity.
